I knew when this idea was launched it would practically write itself every week, and White Sox manager, Ozzie Guillen, just can’t keep his mouth shut. The latest was over the weekend when the Sox took on the Yankees in New York.
Ozzie took exception to Nick Swisher pumping his fist after a go-ahead homerun in Saturday night’s game. This is what Ozzie had to say about Swisher when he was with the White Sox, “That’s the way he is,” Guillen said. “Good for him. Enjoy it. I wish he could do it for me, he was a very horse (bleep) player for me.” Whoa! Calm down Oz-man! I think Swisher had a legitimate beef towards the end of the 2008 season. He was benched for MLB senior citizen, Ken Griffey Jr., who did not add much to the White Sox. While Swisher struggled towards the end of the season, it’s hard to be productive when you are not getting regular at-bats. The Sox also in need of a lead-off man through Swisher into the lead-off spot. Not really Swisher’s forte.
Of course, Swish being Swish, answered Ozzie’s comments on the field Sunday afternoon going 3-for-4 with a home run, 2-runs, and 2-RBI’s, this is why Swish is Da Man this week! Sorry Ozzie, you’re 0-2.
