"That's right, I struck out again!"

The White Sox struggles continued in Kansas City last night, as they lost to the last place Royal  6-1. The biggest news isn’t that Mark Buerhle let up five consecutive hits to start the seventh with the game tied 1-1. That’s not the issue, the issue is the White Sox should have been leading 6-1 at that point!

The Sox stranded eight runners on base and failed to capitalize on opportunites yet again. They are batting .205 with runners in scoring position, that’s just terrible, and have only scored three runs in the last 22 innings. Seriously, what is manager Ozzie Guillen suppose to do to prevent a fire sale from occurring in the near future.

Guillen had this to say to reporters after the game, “I hope you come up with something for a headline. I ain’t got (bleep).” That’s how bad the Sox are playing right now, even Ozzie is speechless. This the kind of series you expect to sweep, now the Sox have to win the next two games to have a 3-2 record on the road trip before going into Detroit for another two game  AL Central series Monday and Tuesday before returning home to face the Angels on Wednesday.

There is some good news, the weather will be in the 70’s as the Sox return home which seems to help their bats tremendously.
