To say the San Francisco Giants have struggled since the All-Star break is an understatement tantamount to saying Margot Robbie is average looking at best. Not only have they lost 15 of 22 games, Hunter Pence is fouling balls off his own face, manager Bruce Bochy was being hospitalized, and now Buster Posey may have re-injured his thumb while trying to devour third base like a plate of delicious garlic fries. I could watch this forever…

Meanwhile, the Cubs are cruising along, having already essentially wrapped up the NL Central with an 11-game lead over St. Louis while positioning themselves to  run away with the home-field advantage race boasting a 3.5-game lead over Washington and a rapidly expansing 6-game gap over the Giants. At this point, I’m just hoping SF can pull themselves together by the time they come to Chicago when PV and I meet for our annual War at wrigley a month from now.

Will it even be interesting by then?
