Happy Snark Day! Good news White Sox fans, Mark Beurhle is back!
Well, at least as a bobble head at Guaranteed Rate Field this Saturday. No one really knows who’s on the Sox at this point, so the best draw is a member of the 2005 World Series roster. It would have been funnier if it were a Miguel Gonzalez bobblehead.
Joe Maddon took to the defense this week after David Haugh appropriately called him out for his continued remarks about “bring on the Dodgers”. Haugh basically pointed out that you have the division and the Nationals to worry about, first. Haugh was not present when the remarks were made, so Joe said he used them out of context and he shouldn’t comment if he’s not present. WHOA! Well, I wasn’t there and I couldn’t agree more with Haugh. Don’t fan the flames of your rivals when you know the Dodgers are the end game to the World Series. Just so I’m clear here, in Joe Ma’s world I’m out of line because I was not at either press conference when he said “bring on the Dodgers”. I did see both on CSN.com and it definitely seemed to me that Joe Ma definitely dissed the Brewers, Cardinals, and Nationals. I feel like Joe’s going to eventually break under the Chicago pressure, I mean, who in the hell reads about themselves in the paper.
Justin Verlander is no longer a Tiger. Good.
Have a Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone!
